Have you noticed a strange kind of light up around Kobåset at night? Fainter than the beams of a grooming machine, and paler than the green shimmers of the Northern Lights.
It may well be a parent, following a strict training schedule that can’t be compromised, not even during holidays in the mountains. They sneak out quietly when darkness sets in and kids are asleep. And sometimes they come all the way up to the 10km trail in Kobåset. But, whether you’re training for a marathon, or simply want to round off the day with a bit of downtime, the nights can be fantastic up here. And sometimes – like this magical March night – you might get lucky with a full moon, clear starry skies and the Northern lights.
