As you hike around Tärnasjön lake archipelago, take a moment to appreciate the recently built bridges in the area. The two wooden bridges and five suspension bridges not only keep your feet dry, but they also provide magnificent views of hundreds of islets formed during the ice age. Whether hiking the famous Kungsleden, or out for a shorter walking or running trip between tourist cabins, the bridges make those trickier parts of the trail just that little bit more comfortable. Just remember, even the sturdiest of bridges can be swept away by the high spring waters, so keep that in mind when planning your hike.
